 Breast Cancer

Breastfeeding

Does breast feeding if you have a breast tumor increase your child’s risk of cancer?

No. Studies have shown that there is no risk of passing cancer cells through breast milk. Because cancer cells are not present in breast milk, the cancer cells cannot be passed to a breastfed infant.
